KQ Liverpool's 10th Anniversary Fundraiser

Over the past 10 years, Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) has grown significantly marking a number of key milestones along the way. This year, to mark our iconic 10th year, we are delighted to announced a series of ten major events and initiatives to mark the occasion. Among the planned activities will be a long-distance, endurance fundraising challenge taken on by our CEO, Colin Sinclair, raising money for this years three local chosen charities. Other ‘ten for ten’ events include the laying of a time capsule capturing the essence of today’s technology and future aspirations, to be opened in 2040, in addition to an art competition in association with dot-art Schools, inviting local secondary school pupils to create original artwork within the theme of ‘Life Under the Microscope’. The 'ten for ten' campaign follows hot on the heels of Colin’s previous fundraising event in September 2025, when he ran a double-marathon across the Liverpool City Region in a day, raising nearly £17,000 for six charities working with children and young people here in Liverpool. Meet the Charities: THE BRAIN CHARITY The Brain Charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition, and to their family, friends, and carers, with bespoke activities for those aged 3-18 years old. CLATTERBRIDGE CANCER CHARITY Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity supporting patients and research at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. As one of the UK’s leading cancer centres, it provides highly specialist cancer care to a population of 2.4m across Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond, including many young people aged 16-25. ALFIE’S SQUAD Alfie’s Squad is the UK’s only charity providing face-to-face peer support for children and young people, aged 6-17, bereaved by suicide. Young members and their families feel understood, less alone, and supported after the loss of a loved one to suicide. Thank you for taking time to read this. We are incredibly grateful for your support in raising as much money as possible for these deserving charities – no matter how big or small.
