Dewhurst Airfield Services

This June, the Dewhurst Airfield Services team will be taking part in the Run the Runway event at Aberdeen Airport, with one of our Managing Directors Adrian Blundell, our sales and marketing manager Nikki Gaston and their partners all lacing up their running shoes for a great cause.
For Adrian, this may well be the first time he’s ran a runway without simultaneously installing primary cables. After more than 25 years working in airfield ground lighting, it’ll make a nice change to be running the runway instead of installing lighting systems on it.
We’ve worked in partnership with Aberdeen for many years and it’s an airport that means a lot to us professionally and personally, so taking part in this event together felt like the perfect opportunity to give something back while supporting charities that do incredible work.
This year, we’ve chosen to support Derian House Children's Hospice as our third charity partner. We have supported Derian House as corporate sponsor for a number of years because we truly believe it is a wonderful charity making a real difference to families facing unimaginable circumstances.
