We are a well-established local charity, set up in 1976 and our main focus is to provide funding for research projects into all things kidney related – 300,000 in the North West alone suffer with chronic kidney disease and as it stands, whilst there are treatments (including a transplant) for kidney disease there is no cure.

Kids’ Village
We’re making a special space in nature for rest, to have fun and to be looked after. This means that (when Kids’ Village is complete) we’ll be able to offer free breaks to families who’ve navigated difficult and exhausting days in hospital, to experience some magic away from the world. Our charity friends will refer families to us for respite and we’ll take it from there.

Kilimanjaro Young Girls In Need UK
Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need (KYGN) is a charity founded in 2006 to support children and families in Mabogini, near Moshi, in Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro region.  Education is a core part of our work, delivered through the Tumaini Foundation, a not-for-profit registered school providing pre-primary and primary education to 420 children.

Kincardine & Deeside Befriending
K&D Befriending is a local registered charity that reduces social isolation for people over 55 in the Kincardine and Deeside area by matching them one‑to‑one with trained volunteer befrienders for regular companionship and support. These visits help improve mental and physical wellbeing by offering social contact, emotional support, and opportunities to stay connected with the community.

Kindness Glasgow
When we started, we were predominately a soup kitchen offering a daily service throughout the pandemic but since then we have grown into much more. Alongside our extended soup kitchen in George Square 2 evenings per week (Monday and Wednesday from 7pm), we also provide support to encourage people into their own accommodation.

Kintail Mountain Rescue Team
Kintail Mountain Rescue Team is a charitable organisation run entirely by volunteers. Our role is to support Police Scotland in delivering their public safety obligation in remote and mountainous environments. We are part of Scottish Mountain Rescue, which is made up of over 1000 volunteers throughout the country.
