Sporting Start is a charity which enables young people in Edinburgh and the Lothians to experience and enjoy sport. We help individuals and groups who face financial or other barriers which limit their opportunity to access or participate in sport. We aim to provide funding support to help with, for example, coaching, courses, events, facilities and sports equipment.

We are the UK’s leading mental health sports charity and deliver physical activity (sport, walking, dance and movement, gardening and exercise sessions) projects in partnership with the amazing NHS in order to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction.

SportsAid is the only national charity of its kind - helping young British sportsmen and women aspiring to be the country's next Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth and world champions. SportsAid supports over 1,000 athletes each year – the vast majority aged 12 to 18 – by providing them with a financial award to help towards training and competition costs.

We are a children's charity based in Peterborough who "use sport to help and inspire children"​. One way this inspiration can be found is through our "Sporting Wishes"​ which allow us to give children bravely facing life limiting illnesses experiences they will never forget. SPOT Project aims to illuminate the hearts, faces and minds of underprivileged youth around the world, starting in The Gambia. SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need.

St Abbs Independent Lifeboat has been saving lives in the North Sea and along the coastline of the Scottish Borders since 1911. Run as an independent lifeboat since 2016, we receive no funding from government agencies and rely solely on public donations.

At Stable Life we utilise equine facilitated wellness programmes to support young people with vulnerabilties in the Scottish Borders who are experiencing challenges. We are based on a beautiful farm surrounded by rolling hills and we are lucky enough to have some of the kindest ponies we know to help us to do our work. We also offer riding lessons and hacking in the hills.

St Andrews Hospice provide specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, providing support not only for our patients, but also for their loved ones and carers too. Our goal is to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for our patients in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment.
