The Bangladesh Health Development Initiative (BHDI) is a voluntary project initiated by two UK registered charities – BRTUK and BMRF. It is a collective of doctors, healthcare professionals and volunteers from the United Kingdom who have come together to address the medical needs of the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh.

We are working towards the relief of poverty and the improvement of living conditions in socially and economically disadvantaged communities, with particular focus on Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi community in the UK.

We are an independent food bank that operates in the Bassetlaw area. Referral Partner Agencies and individuals from anywhere within Bassetlaw can contact us to request an emergency food parcel. The parcel provides food for a 7 day period. We also run a number of other project to increase the accessibility and affordability of food.
