About The Giving Wardrobe
Set up in 2025, The Giving Wardrobe provides 2-3 full sets of clothing to adults across Norfolk in crisis.
We only take referrals from charities, agencies, and statutory bodies...that way we know we are part of an overall solution to the problems, not just a "sticking plaster".
We source our clothing from donations from the public and stores, and hold local sales in areas of identified deprivation, selling surplus clothing at £1 per item so that the community benefits, and we can purchase new socks and underwear and any items we are short of
A £5 donation here will buy several pairs of socks or underwear, that we give to every client.
£10 covers buying an item of clothing that we do not have in stock; eg jeans or joggers.
£100 covers the cost of renting our storage unit for 1 month.
All people involved are volunteers, and no one takes any form of wage.
Your Impact
We currently help around 200 people per year in crisis, without judgement.
Due to the nature of the problem it is difficult to demonstrate the benefit without potentially identifying people, but we have helped many victims of domestic abuse, homelessness, financial crisis, sudden care needs, and many more.
