The BMOT Foundation was established to provide support to children, adults and families to allow them to experience those things in life which are important / exciting / beneficial to them. Unfortunately traditional funding only covers essential minimal basic care, but the BMOT Foundation is passionate about ensuring everyone can enjoy life and the world to their fullest ability!
About BMOT Foundation
The BMOT Foundation Trust is a charity which can provide meaningful support to individuals who need a little extra support, to engage in the important occupations in their life (activities and roles). The funding will be used when formal funding just isn’t there or is not quick enough to meet need.
The foundation is overseen by three trustees to ensure everything runs smoothly and responsibly and we look forward to providing regular updates on our fundraising efforts and how these funds benefit our beneficiaries.
Your Impact
To date the BMOT Foundation has provided:-
- much needed clinical equipment to provide for self-care and functional needs, allowing people to wash, make basic meals etc without relying on others all of the time.
- a 'Santavan' campaign where we took 'the real!' Santa Claus to visit children and adults who otherwise wouldn't have been able to travel to see him.
- choir sessions for an adult with a brain injury who previously used to be an active choir member.
- support for a young adult with a brain injury to obtain his FA football coaching badges for work with accessibility teams, allowing him to give something back.
- A trip to London, visit to the Harry Potter museum and a London Eye experience for a child with CP and their family.
- Support to establish a Parkinsons group for an adult patient which has developed a growing community of support.
- Hydrotherapy sessions for patients otherwise unable to access these sessions via statutory funding.
