The Inspire and Achieve Foundation supports disadvantaged young people aged 16-26 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to overcome personal and systemic barriers to opportunity. For over 15 years, our youth support has been inspiring young people across Nottinghamshire and empowering them to achieve to their best.

About The Inspire and Achieve Foundation

Community & Cultural Support Youth development & mentoring Local community projects Children & Education
At 16, most of us were just trying to figure things out; battling insecurity, unsure of our future, and hoping someone would believe in us. For the young people we support at The Inspire and Achieve Foundation, the stakes are higher. They're overcoming homelessness, mental health struggles, addiction, or a lack of family support.

With the right guidance, anything is possible for them.

That’s where you come in.

The Inspire and Achieve Foundation supports NEET young people through our network of youth hubs across the Nottinghamshire county; delivering a holistic range of support to help them overcome barriers to progression and helping them to keep up with their peers. Our youth hubs are designed to offer young people one safe space within their community which they can go to access support, no matter what challenges they are faced with, and we want every young person who walks through out doors to leave feeling inspired and empowered to achieve their best. We do this through:

  • Free daily youth activities to help young people make friends, explore their interests and develop transferable skills
  • Person centred, accredited 1-1 mentoring that gives young people a trusted adult to help them navigate personal barriers and move forward with confidence
  • The King's Trust Team programme, a 12 week confidence boosting employability programme
  • A dedicated alternative provision for learners aged 16+ with an EHCP

The combination of this support, along with partnerships with the DWP and local community organisations, means we reach over 350 young people each year, of which ~70% will progress into education, employment and training.
