Whittam Cox Walking Challenge 2025

On Thursday 25th September, our team at Whittam Cox Architects will be taking on the Dronfield Rotary Walk to raise funds for Sheffield 1000, a brilliant local charity making a real difference in our community.

Sheffield 1000 brings together 1,000 people across Sheffield and the surrounding area, each giving just £1 a week. Those contributions combine to deliver a £1,000 donation every week to a local charity, community group, or project in need.

Since launching, Sheffield 1000 has donated nearly £100,000 to 100 different causes, supporting areas like:

Youth sport and activities
Food security and community kitchens
Arts and music education
Local heritage and environmental projects

Recent beneficiaries include projects providing free children’s meals in summer, music hubs for young people, community sports sessions, and restoration of local heritage sites.

We’re aiming to help Sheffield 1000 continue their weekly donations and widen their impact. Every pound raised will go directly towards funding vital initiatives that strengthen our local communities.
