In April 2026 I’ll be running the London Marathon, and I want to use this opportunity to raise money for causes that mean a lot to me and my family.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy a couple of years ago and have experienced six seizures since, the latest on August 20th this year. Epilepsy is still poorly understood, there are no drugs designed specifically for it, and in many cases, including mine, the cause is unknown. One of the most devastating risks is SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), which remains a leading cause of premature death in people with epilepsy. Raising awareness and funding research is vital to saving lives and supporting families, like that of Margaret Corrigan, who tragically lost her son Shane at just 23.
I’m also fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis, a cause close to my partner Megan’s heart after she lost her sister to the condition. CF is a lifelong genetic illness that severely affects the lungs. While treatments have improved, research and support are still desperately needed for those living with it and their families.
Every donation will go directly to supporting these important charities, helping fund research, raise awareness, and provide essential support for families. Thank you for your support, it truly means a lot.
