Charlie’s London marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 — and I need your help.

I was lucky enough to get a ballot place for the London Marathon in 2026. Last time, I ran it through a charity place — but even though I got in on my own this year, I still want to use this opportunity to raise money for causes that matter deeply to me.

I’ve chosen three charities, each with a very personal connection. If I hit my fundraising target, each one will receive at least £700 — hopefully more. Times are tough, I know, but anything you can spare truly makes a difference. Here’s why I’m running:

1. Muscular Dystrophy UK
This is the charity I ran for last time — and it means the world to me. My sister lives with muscular dystrophy, so I’ve seen firsthand how it affects someone. This charity funds research for a cure and supports families every day. They've kindly offered to support me again this year, even though I’m running for multiple causes.

2. Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity
This incredible charity provides compassionate care for people with terminal illnesses — and support for their families every step of the way, even after their loved ones are gone. My friend Andrew Warner — Drew, as I knew him — spent his final days at their lodge in Norwich. I’ve only ever heard praise for the care he and his family received. I want to give back in his memory.

3. Teenage Cancer Trust
This one’s for Liam Exley — a local lad, my teammate at Swaffham Town, and someone who left us far too soon after a brave fight with cancer. This was his chosen charity, and I ran for them earlier this year — but I felt it was only right to do it again in his honour.

I know that’s a lot, but I’d really appreciate any support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a few words of encouragement. Every penny goes to causes that are close to my heart and helps make a real difference.

Thanks so much,
Charlie
