Dear Friends,
Two months have passed since we lost our friend and long time colleague, Neil Danziger. He was calm, generous, and quietly brilliant - he is missed very much. Even whilst bravely facing his diagnosis, Neil was determined to help others suffering from brain tumours, raising thousands for research in hope of a cure.
Now, in his honour, we’re picking up where he left off. On the 24th May 2025, we’ll be taking on a 10K Charity Run, with the aim of raising £33,000 to match Neil's incredible fundraising efforts to support two charities personal to Neil and his family. We are eager to continue Neil’s charitable efforts for Brain Tumour Research as well as support Child Bereavement UK’s continuous efforts in helping children navigate loss. Further details on the charities, and Neil's story can be found below.
How you can help:
- DONATE: Every contribution, big or small, will help fund crucial research and support bereaved families. - JOIN US: Run, jog, or walk with us in Neil’s memory. Just reach out if you’d like to take part. - SHARE: Help spread the word so we can reach our goal.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to a future where lives are saved and families are spared the pain of losing a loved one to this devastating disease. Every step we take, every pound we raise, will make a difference. Our goal is to honour Neil’s memory and make a lasting impact.
Brain Tumour Research is a charity focused on raising awareness on the devastating impacts brain tumours have on both children and adults, as brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. They are also focused on brain tumour research, and have established a network of 7 brain tumour research centres across the UK, whilst also providing funding for 5 of those research centres in search for a cure. Neil shared the story of his diagnosis with Brain Tumour Research in October 2023 - you can read his story here: https://braintumourresearch.org/blogs/in-our-hearts/neil-danziger?_pos=1&_psq=neil+danziger&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Child Bereavement UK is a charity dedicated to helping children navigate loss as well as helping others navigate the loss of a child. They provide support groups nationally and free individual support for those under the age of 25, operate a hotline, confidential bereavement support, and training sessions for professionals in different fields to help equip them with the necessary sensitivity and knowledge.
£10 could fund a pop-up book to help a young child express their thoughts and feelings with an adult when someone important to them has died.
£65 could fund an online support session for a bereaved young person, enabling them to talk through their feelings and build confidence after someone special to them has died.
