14 day Everest Base Camp Hike

We're undertaking a 14 day hike to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Between 5 and 9 hours of hiking each day and at heights of up to 5300 meters, it's a demanding but exciting adventure and I'd be delighted if I can raise some funds for the local schools.

I feel very strongly about education as being able to provide greater personal, and national, outcomes. With one of my roles as a local governor, I am also acutely aware of the challenges there are around funding and so I wanted to link my adventure to support the local primary, infants and junior schools in Southwater.

The PTFA for Southwater Infants and Juniors need funding of £500 to resurface the EYFS playground for infants and £500 for the wooden stage area and reading circle maintenance and improvement. Castlewood needs funding towards their nature garden and IT upgrades.

Any excess above what they need will go into boosting other areas, equally, within the schools so any donations are very gratefully received.

As infants and juniors have a combined PTFA, two thirds of the donations will go there, and one third to Castlewood and I hope to raise at least £500 for each school.

As a thank you, any donation above £10 will receive a £10 voucher to spend at D'Arcy's Wine Bar (we will send these post hike) - please copy and paste this link to provide your details, input your name as it appears on your donation and supply your email address and we'll email a voucher through: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScZ7judQX_5G3Ji_Iva8_Ors-wBCq6q87Nl5FUb3Drj3g6qzg/viewform?usp=sf_link

We also join the Christmas Event in Lintot Square, and organise other smaller events throughout the year.
