Edale Skyline Charity Hike

This summer, Lydia, Jade, Angela and I will be representing the Weightmans' Newcastle office and taking on the Edale Skyline Challenge in aid of Newcastle West End Foodbank. We are taking on the slightly longer route, so will be walking a 24 mile/38km circular ridge walk along several of the most picturesque hilltops the Peak District has to offer. The target time is a maximum of 12 hours. There is a total ascent of around 1,600m/5,272ft, so the distance, time and ascent is similar to the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Newcastle West End Foodbank aims to combat poverty and hunger in our city. It is one of the busiest foodbanks in the UK, providing more than 18,000 food parcels annually. The foodbank aims to support people in overcoming their food crisis after three visits. We appreciate how difficult the current climate is and your help is greatly appreciated.
