Jonty's No Limbit Swims
4037
In Nov 2024 it is 30 years since I crashed my car, and in May 2025 it is 30 years since my leg amputation. I have decided to celebrate how much I have achieved by undertaking a series of marathon and channel swims, some yet to be swum by a para swimmer, in order to raise £30,000 to be split between 3 charities that are close to my heart, and two of which I am proud to be a trustee. The big swim in 2024 is the first para attempt to solo swim round the island of Jersey.
In January 2025 I will be swimming in the 6th Ice Swimming World Championship in Molveno, representing Great Britain, and as soon as I get back, I am in training to race 185KM in the arctic on skis towing my pull. Once I am back from that it back into training for my attempt at the English Channel in May 2025 towards hopefully complete my "Original Triple Crown soon after.
I will then attempt a series of back to back marathons swims to build for the grand finale..... This is a serious physical and financial commitment as I intend to pay for all the swims myself, unless of course I can get a kind sponsor outside of what I am raising here. So please, give what you can for three great charities, and thank you for your kindness and generosity in doing so. If all you can afford is wishing my luck and helping raise awareness of the three charities, then that will be most welcome too. And for those that run into me in or near a lake, river or sea and want to have a chat over tea and cake, that would be grand too. My best wishes and thanks to you all, Jonty - "Quant Je Puis"
