APNA NHS: Pakistan Floods Relief Appeal
Pakistan Floods Relief Appeal (launched 13/9/2022) – by APNA NHS **UPDATE 1.6.2023**
The media has stopped covering the aftermath and devastation left by the floods, but the problems remain (and will for years to come), damaged infrastructure, flattened buildings including hospitals and schools, no fresh supply of water etc. etc.
Please keep donating - thank you. 🙏🏽🤲🏽
Every single £ donated makes a huge impact in the flood hit communities in Pakistan - you are making a difference.
The devastation caused by these floods are upsetting as the situation has impacted many family members, loved ones and friends who are living amidst this crisis.
APNA NHS has selected 6 UK registered charities that are already providing direct support on the ground to those in need in Pakistan. These charities represent a cross section of aid agencies working within Pakistan reaching different devastated communities who will immediately benefit from the donations you make. To find out more about each of the charities please click on the logos above.
We thank you for your support at this time of need.
About APNA NHS:
Apna is a south Asian word which when translated means ‘Our’. It shares the diversity of thoughts and views of South Asian Heritage NHS leaders who are proud to be members of the NHS, thereby calling it “our NHS”. APNA stands for Asian Professionals’ National Alliance, which is a voluntary body. APNA NHS is formed of South Asian Heritage NHS health and social care workers and acts as a platform for us to have our collective voices heard through collaboration and active engagement.
At times of need and when natural disasters strike such as Covid-19 in India and now the floods in Pakistan, APNA NHS mobilises its collective efforts from across our members, partners and supporters to help raise funds to support charities that are trying to alleviate suffering.
