Land’s End to John O’Groats Charity Ride
2500
Myself and two friends are going to ride just over 1,000 miles in 14 days from Land’s End in Cornwall, through a part of Wales and up to the northern coast of Scotland. While doings so we aim to raise money for charity and my target is to support three charities; one international, one national and one local to where I live in Somerset.1. The Fuller Center for Housing, based in Georgia, USA but providing new affordable homes all over the globe. Having worked in Social Housing for most of my career, this charity is very special to me.2. The Lily Foundation, the largest charity in Europe raising money to support families and undertake research into Mitochondrial Disease.3 Root Connections, a charity based not far from where I live and they provide support and encouragement to people made homeless or on the margins of society by working with them to grow organic vegetables and flowers for sale on the open market.
