Nana's legacy of love for Frankie.

Losing a child is every family’s worst nightmare, but our reality.
The below words are those of my daughter Claire.
'After our son, Frankie, was born sleeping at full term we found ourselves in the darkest days of our lives. During that time we were fortunate to receive support from our chosen charities, each playing a different but integral role in our grieving and healing process and we wanted to say 'Thank You' for everything they did for us. The charities meant- although we would never get to go home from hospital with our son, we were able to create precious memories during the time we spent with him which we treasure. This fundraiser is for Frankie and for them.
Remember My Baby came to us in hospital and quietly captured the sweet, fleeting moments we shared with Frankie. The photographs are beautiful, and receiving them gave us something precious to hold onto — memories of Frankie just as he was, and moments with him that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
4Louis helped us create tangible memories with Frankie. Providing resources to take plaster casts and imprints of his perfect little hands and feet, as well as keepsakes and books to read to him. These are small pieces of him that remain with us.
Luna’s Fund allowed us to spend meaningful time together and create memories at a point when every moment mattered. They recognise that bereaved families need more than words — sometimes we simply need the opportunity to be together, to breathe, to reconnect and to make the most of the moments we have.
Choices Pregnancy centres gave us compassion, presence and comfort. A safe space to openly discuss the experience we have gone through, allowing us to process and better understand how to support ourselves and each other.
We know from our own experience how much these acts of kindness can mean.
A photograph.
A keepsake.
Time together.
A blessing.
A helping hand.
Someone simply being there.
The memories and moments we have been given — the traces Frankie has left behind is not something we would have without these charities. This fund is our way of carrying his memory forward and our hope is that through this we can help these organisations continue to be there for families like ours, helping them find moments of connection, create memories and make the most of the time they have together.
Because even the briefest moments can leave something beautiful behind.'
My I own first challenge is to be a combined swim with my 3 daughters. Frankie's Mummy, Nana and 2 of his aunties.
