FARINGDON YFC - Ridgeway Challenge 2024
2203
Faringdon Young Farmers Club are completing the Ridgeway Relay Challenge from 26-28 April 2024. We have two teams of 10 people walking in 8hr relays covering the full 87.5 miles. Each person will walk a minimum of 44 miles - not an easy challenge!
We are raising funds for three fantastic local charities:
- Brighter Futures: the charity for the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who help to provide an extra special level of care which, past Faringdon YFC member and local farmer, Aubrey Cole and his family benefited from. His grandchildren are taking part in the challenge.
- Thames Valley Air Ambulance: supporting many farmers in rural areas in times of need including a close friend of Faringdon YFC, Thomas Huxtable, who was involved in a near fatal accident.
- Prospect Hospice: in memory of Tom Bolter, a local farmer, close friend and ex-chairman of Faringdon YFC. They provide free of charge care to over 300,000 people in Wiltshire.
Thank you so much for all of your support and generous donations, it means so much to us all!
