Thanks for taking the time to visit Glasgow South Ambulance Stations fundraising page. We are a group of Paramedics and Ambulance Technicians from various stations within Glasgow who will be undertaking the West Highland Way in honour of Childrens Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and Wish Ambulance Scotland. All profits will be split evenly between both charities, have a read below for a description of what your donations will go towards:
Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS):
'CHAS provides unwavering care to children who may die young and their families, at every step on this hardest of journeys. We support young people pre-birth to 21, and their whole family, in hospices, children’s homes, and in hospitals. We help families live well with complexity and uncertainty. We are there to help you say a meaningful goodbye and cope with your grief.'
Wish Ambulance Scotland:
Wish Ambulance Scotland is being developed to provide free, clinically supported Wish Journeys for people approaching the end of life, helping them visit the people and places that matter the most. Founded by Scottish Paramedics, this charity will assist those approaching the end of life to experience an event/create memories such as attending their child's wedding, go to their favourite loch or hill or make a sports event that means something to them.
Every penny will go to the worthiest of causes and improve the lives and dignity of people from all age groups across Scotland.
Kind regards,
Glasgow South Ambulance Station
