BPI Charity Walk

On Friday 16th October, we're taking on the Wakefield Way as a team, walking a scenic route around the Wakefield area in support of two causes close to our hearts: Ataxia UK and St James's Intensive Care Unit.

The route will start and finish at BPI HQ in Normanton and take in some of the green spaces around the Wakefield Way. With options to join at different points along the route, colleagues can take on anything from around 4.5 miles to the full 24.5-mile challenge, so there’s an option for everyone.

The whole business is coming together to walk, raise funds, and make a real difference for both charities.

Every donation, big or small, helps us reach our target. Thank you for supporting us on the day!

The Charities
Ataxia UK is the UK’s leading charity supporting people affected by ataxia – a group of rare neurological conditions that can affect balance, coordination, speech and movement. The charity provides practical and emotional support, information and advice to people and their families, while also funding vital research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Leeds Hospitals Charity supports patients, families and staff across Leeds Teaching Hospitals by funding projects that make a real difference to people’s experience of care. We’re supporting a project at J54 Lincoln ICU at St James’s Hospital, helping to create a peaceful outdoor sanctuary where ICU patients can enjoy fresh air, natural light and a moment of calm during difficult times.
