Bad ideas. Good Causes
Bad Ideas. Good Causes.

It started the way many bad ideas do... with a group of 10 dads standing around on a Saturday morning, talking rubbish, drinking coffee, and convincing each other that running a half marathon sounded like a great idea.

A few minutes later, we were signed up for the Cheltenham Half Marathon 2026.

Now, what began as a questionable decision has become an opportunity to make a real difference. As a team, we've chosen to take on this challenge to raise money for two incredible charities: The 4Ed Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust, organisations that provide vital support, hope and opportunities to young people and families when they need it most.

None of us are professional runners. Some of us are discovering muscles we didn't know existed. All of us are wondering why we agreed to this. But together we're committed to crossing that finish line and raising as much money as possible along the way.

We've named ourselves "Bad Ideas. Good Causes." because while signing up for 13.1 miles may not have been our wisest decision, supporting these charities is something we can all get behind.

We hope this is just the beginning. Today's half marathon could become tomorrow's cycle ride, mountain hike, endurance event, or whatever other challenge seems like a good idea at the time. Our goal is to keep coming together, pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, and raising money for causes that matter.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help motivate us through the training miles and support the incredible work of The 4Ed Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Thank you for your support, encouragement, and generosity.

Bad Ideas.
