Dorchester’s World Cup Party

We are hosting a charity football match and World Cup final party in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare and Dorset Mental Health Forum. 

A full day of football celebrations organised by former Thomas Hardye students to raise money for local charities in our hometown.

Dorchester's World Cup Party - Sunday 19th July


12:30pm - Gates open, Avenue Stadium, Dorchester.


1:30pm - Kick off between Thomas Hardye B Team 2016 vs Thomas Hardye Classic XI


5:00pm - Doors open, Kingston Maurward Estate, World Cup Final watch party 8:00pm - World Cup Final kick off on the big screen
Music until late


12:30pm Avenue Stadium - What to expect


Free entry. There will be a variety of footballing ability on show with some guaranteed hamstring and ACL injuries. Some of the lads may not be the players they once were, but we have some members of the current Hardyes football team to make up for that. A 10-year anniversary game between two longstanding rivals looking to settle an old score. The game features former and current students in ages ranging from 18 to 30 years old. Mr Hughes will be managing his beloved B team against an assortment of familiar faces who once played for The Thomas Hardye School.


The bar will be open upon arrival and donations are encouraged for our chosen charities - Weldmar Hospicecare and Dorset Mental Health.


5:00pm Kingston Maurward Estate - What to expect


Hosted by Coastland Events at Kingston Maurward Estate. An outside big screen viewing of the World Cup Final. Catering for your needs, we have:


* A large screen and speakers provided by Southern Entertainment Services and sponsored by Mac3Barbers. We will be showing the entirety of the World Cup Final including build up and trophy presentation.
* Food trucks provided by Coastland Events at Kingston Maurward.
* Inside and outside bars providing a variety of drinks. A percentage of food and drink sales will be donated to our chosen local charities.
* Music inside and outside. Music inside after the game until late and hosted by a number of DJs.
