Ultra marathon for Bee and Ezra

100KM CHARITY RELAY CHALLENGE 💜

Saturday 12th September 2026. 3am to finish (1-2pm)


On Saturday 12th September, Sarah and I will be taking on a 100km charity relay challenge through the streets of Aynho.


We'll each run 50km, alternating 10km legs throughout the day before coming together to run the final mile side by side, finishing on the athletics track.
This challenge isn't about setting records. It's about standing with families in our community who are facing battles far tougher than anything we'll experience on the road.


This year we're raising money for two incredible causes.
💜 Katherine House Hospice
Betheny "Bee" Connor, a 39-year-old mother from Aynho, near Banbury, was diagnosed with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer in December 2023.
She faced an incredibly challenging treatment journey, undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a mastectomy and immunotherapy. After months of treatment, Bee received the wonderful news in October 2024 that there was no evidence of disease, giving her and her family hope for the future.
Tragically, in July 2025, Bee was told that the cancer had returned and had spread to her spine and brain.
Bee is the devoted wife of Marc and the loving mother of three young daughters – Poppy, Lily and Rosie. She is also a cherished daughter, sister and a much-loved friend, whose kindness and warmth have touched so many people in Aynho and beyond.
Bee is now being cared for at Katherine House Hospice, where she is receiving compassionate support from the hospice team. She is surrounded by the love of her devoted family and the many friends who continue to visit her, ensuring she is never alone.
Throughout this unimaginable journey, Bee has shown remarkable courage and strength. Her story is a reminder of how precious time with loved ones is and how important the support of a community can be.
Every donation, every act of kindness and every message of support helps Bee, Marc, Poppy, Lily and Rosie during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help ease some of the burden and show this wonderful family that they are surrounded by a community that cares.


💙 Oxford Hospitals Charity
We'll also be supporting Oxford Hospitals Charity, In March 2026, Ezra was diagnosed with kidney cancer (Wilms tumour). Since then he has been through weekly chemotherapy, 3 surgeries, 14 rounds of proton beam therapy and faces a long 34 weeks of chemotherapy. 
The experience has been hard and scary for the whole family but Ezra has been incredibly resilient throughout. This is due in part to excellent early support from professionals paid for by Oxford Hospitals Charity. A play specialist helped him feel safe going through CT and MRI scans and his nurse is always on hand to answer questions and make sure his treatment is on track. Any donation you can make will not only help the charity but will also give the runners an extra boost in their training! Your generosity will make a real difference for the youngest hospital heroes in our local hospitals. It is not just about running it is about coming together to raise funds and show solidarity with the children and families who need our help.


Every mile we run is for families facing challenges no family should have to endure.
