Vicki takes on the London Marathon 2027

I am honoured to be placed in the 2027 TLC London Marathon. This is going to be a huge challenge for me and I know I will complete it because I want to run for these two amazing charities.  It breaks my heart that there is a rise in suicide and it is the most common cause of death for 10-19 year olds!  Feeling like this is the only way out is terrifying and very lonely and the more money we raise, the more help can be given.East Kent Mencap provides meaningful opportunities to adults with a learning disability and money can be used to improve facilities, offer more opportunities, and provide more resources!
 
Both charities are close to my heart and I am going to do everything I can to make them proud!
Over the coming months I will be training hard, running 10K and half marathon events,organising fun evenings/events and bringing the community together for such a great cause. 
Every pound matters!

Our volunteers use their skills, training and empathetic approach to offer a non-judgmental listening ear to help people in what could be their darkest hour. Our volunteers aim to signpost individuals to the most relevant support available to them at that time, to get them the help they deserve.
