Walking 70 miles home from Addenbrookes

I'm 69 years old. In September/October 2023 I had 6 weeks of radiotherapy treatment at Addenbrookes in Cambridge for an acoustic neuroma, a type of brain tumour. To mark the anniversary I am walking from Addenbrookes to my home in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, via King's Lynn. This is about 70 miles and I plan to take 9 or 10 days, walking every day. The majority of the walk will be along the Fen Rivers Way.

The British Acoustic Neuroma Association (BANA) has given me great support both before and since the treatment and so 50% of any funds raised from this walk will go to them.

I am also a trustee of Holbeach Community Larder, our local independent foodbank and the other 50% of funds will go to help their excellent work in our community.
