Cumbria Way walk 2026
18993
🚶❤️ 75 Miles for Hearts United ❤️🚶Eddie, Alex, Freddie, Sammy Cole, Roald, Harry and Coby are taking on the incredible challenge of walking the 75-mile Cumbria Way, from Ulverston to Carlisle, to raise vital funds for Hearts United.
What makes this challenge even more remarkable is that the boys are all just 15 years old. They have chosen to push themselves physically and mentally by taking on one of Cumbria’s most iconic long-distance walks, all to support a cause that helps save lives.
The Cumbria Way stretches approximately 75 miles through some of Cumbria’s most spectacular scenery. Beginning in the historic market town of Ulverston, the route passes through the stunning landscapes of the Lake District, including Coniston, Langdale, Borrowdale and Keswick, before continuing through the peaceful northern fells and finishing in the historic city of Carlisle. With challenging climbs, changing terrain and long days on their feet, this is no easy feat, making every donation even more meaningful.
Every mile they walk will help Hearts United continue its mission of improving heart health within our communities.
Hearts United is a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to helping save lives through the early detection of heart conditions and by equipping people with lifesaving skills. We raise funds to provide free cardiac screening for young people, helping to identify potentially life-threatening heart conditions that often show no warning signs. We also deliver CPR and defibrillator training, giving people the confidence and knowledge to act quickly in a cardiac emergency, when every second counts.
By supporting this challenge, you’ll be helping Hearts United continue funding these vital programmes and making a real difference to families across our community.
Please support Eddie, Alex, Freddie, Sammy, Cole, Roald, Harry and Coby as they take on this incredible adventure. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue our lifesaving work.
Thank you for your generosity and encouragement—it will mean the world to these eight amazing 15-year-olds as they take on this unforgettable challenge.
(The group will have the support of parents at each daily finish point, to assist with putting tents up, and any other assistance they need)
