Harrison was a much loved and adored Son, Brother and friend to many. He had a heart of gold and lit up every room he entered with his larger than life, happy aura and a beautiful smile to go with it.
Harrison was and still is one of five children, to the most wonderful parents. He was loved deeply by his parents Bryan and Kerry, and a very loved brother to Nicoll, Trafford, James, and Byron. There are countless memories that we, as a family can look back on over the last 21 years, each as precious as the next. These memories of birthdays, Christmas, and countless family holidays over the years will live long in our hearts.
To say Harrison enjoyed life would be an understatement. Within the last twelve months he was happier than he had ever been before. He met the love of his life, Anya. They were inseparable and did everything together. Whether it was going on nights away together, attending festivals throughout the country, or even lying in bed all day watching films. Harrison was besotted. They had also just been on their first holiday together to Rhodes. We as the family could see how happy he was to be experiencing the joys of life.
Alongside Anya, Harrison was always out enjoying life with his large group of friends. Especially his most adored friend of them all, his twin brother James. They came into this world together, and when death took Harrison's hand, James was right by his side fighting to keep his brother.
On the 14/09/2023 Harrison, James, and Anya were out having fun at the local pub quiz, as they did every Wednesday night.
On their journey home, Harrison, James, and Anya were passengers in a car which was involved in a serious accident. James and Anya suffered injuries but were able to recover and was later discharged.
Unfortunately, Harrison sustained catastrophic injuries which he was unable to recover from, thus losing his life the following day. Harrison was surrounded by all his family and friends, all the people who adored him were by his side until the very end. Now he is by all of our sides, every minute of every day.
In Harrison’s memory, there will be a 22-mile run on the 25/05/2024 named ‘Harrison’s 22nd Mile’. James, Harry (Harrison’s best friend) and Trafford (Harrison’s older brother), and more friends and family along the way will be taking on this challenge to raise money for the nominated charities. Harrison never made it to 22, so we will be running his 22nd mile.
We have decided to donate to two charities, each are equally as deserving of the money.
Alder Hey Children's Hospital is one of the choices. In March 2002 when Harrison was only three weeks old, he was admitted to Alder Hey after he stopped breathing while at home. Harrison would spend the next ten days fighting for his life on a ventilator.
Harrison was only given a 40% chance of survival. However, thanks to the tireless efforts from all the doctors, nurses and all other staff Harrison made a full miracle recovery. This enabled us all to enjoy 21 of the most wonderful years with Harrison. For that reason, we will forever be thankful to Alder Hey children’s hospital.
The second charity we have chosen is The Fire Fighters Charity. When the accident happened on the 14/09/2023 the fire service were one of the first emergency service teams on scene. Due to their expertise skill and quick work, they were able to free Harrison from the wreckage which then allowed the paramedics to treat Harrison and get him on a ventilator. This allowed our family and Harrison’s friends to say a real goodbye to him, given the circumstances this is the absolute least we could’ve asked for. For that reason, we will all be forever thankful to the fire service.

I lost my best friend a week before her 22nd birthday last year. She also passed away in a horrific car accident where her sibling survived. I feel your pain and love your outgoing support and continuing love you obviously all have for Harrison.

Never knew Harrison but I would see him up and down the crescent with his buddy and it always struck me how alike these 2 mates looked. Never occurred to me that they'd be brothers let alone twins. 2 times I seen them in sainsbury's. Could have been the same day I can't quite remember. Middle of the day in the middle of the supermarket and I'm almost certain it was Harrison - singing his heart out with his brother by his side smiling from ear to ear in amusement. That was the first time the second time they were behind me in the queue with only a couple of items so I let them go ahead of me. They said thanks and that was that. I never said it at the time but it was my pleasure.
