Sy Nathan Fund Raising for Sahana Foundation

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Sahana Foundation Fund Raising Page.
https://sahanafoundation.org.uk

The Sahana Foundation was born from the story of Sahana herself — a bright, kind-hearted 12-year-old from England who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer, in March 2022. Throughout her treatment at Oxford Children's Hospital, she never stopped thinking of others, checking on her friends and smiling through chemotherapy. Sadly, the cancer spread and on 25th May 2022, Sahana merged with god peacefully, surrounded by her family. Even in her final days, she left a message on her paintings for those she loved: "Be happy." It is in her spirit of selflessness and compassion that the Sahana Foundation was created — so that no one faces their final days without dignity, care, and comfort. Sahana has moved on to a higher realm and we are sure she is making wonderful things happen.

At the Sahana Foundation, our mission is to bring comfort, dignity and hope to patients and families facing life limiting illness in Sri Lanka. We believe that every person, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves compassionate care, especially in their most vulnerable moments.
