Hyrox and a Half

Dear all

On Sunday 27th September I will be fundraising for Headway Nottingham and Brain Tumour Research. Working in the neurosurgery department at QMC, I am well aware of the outstanding work these charities do for the patients I am lucky enough to care for.

In order to do my bit helping these amazing charities out, I am trying to complete an unofficial (not an actual Hyrox trademark event) full Mens Open Hyrox at the Balance Health Nottingham Hybrid Training Zone.
For those who are not familiar with this the sequence of pain is as follows:
1km run
1km ski erg
1km run
50m Sled Push (152kg)
1km run
50m Sled Pull (103kg)
1km run
80m Burpee broad jumps
1km run
1km Rowing
1km run
Farmers carry 200m (2 x 24kg Kettle Bells)
1km run
Sandbag Lunges 100m (20kg Sandbag)
1km run
Wall balls x100 (6kg)

Following on from this I will don my giant brain costume and run from Balance Health Nottingham to the start line of the Nottingham Half Marathon (6km) where I will then complete the Robin Hood Nottingham Half Marathon (20km) dressed in a giant brain costume before collapsing in a dribbling heap ready to celebrate with my colleagues also running the half.

This will equate to 34km running and a world of hyrox exercises pain.

Support the chafe and the dead legs and donate if you will.

Thanks all!
