The Great River Race Challenge

Team Row-man Warder Takes on the Great River Race!
On Saturday 12th September, a brave (or perhaps slightly misguided!) team from the Tower of London will be taking part in the Great River Race along the River Thames.
The challenge? A mere 21.6 miles of rowing from Millwall in the east all the way to Ham in the west. What could possibly go wrong?
We’re taking on this adventure to raise money for four fantastic charities that are very close to our hearts:
* MND
* RNLI
* Veterans Aid
* The Ahoy Centre
These organisations do incredible work and would greatly benefit from your support.
Our crew consists of seven enthusiastic rowers who will be expertly steered by our cox, Ania. While confidence levels are high, rowing experience levels are… somewhat lower. In fact, apart from Andy’s little paddle across the Atlantic last year, most of us are complete novices!
That said, we’re all ex-military, so we’re no strangers to teamwork, determination, and embracing questionable decisions in the name of a challenge. We’ll be giving it everything we’ve got to make sure we “race well” (and ideally stay pointing in the right direction).
Every penny raised will be split equally between the four charities, so if you’re able to support us, we’d be incredibly grateful. No donation is too small, and your generosity will help some truly worthy causes.
Thank you for your support and encouragement—we’re going to need plenty of both!
