100km for Ida - and every young person facing cancer!

Peter's story - Ida's dad 

Twelve months ago, my family’s world changed when my daughter Ida was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Since then, Ida has faced more than any young adult should ever have to: treatment, hospital appointments, long hospital admissions, uncertainty, fear, and days no family ever imagines they will have to live through. Through it all, she has shown unbelievable courage, strength and spirit.

During the hardest year of Ida’s life, two charities have been there for her and for our family: Teenage Cancer Trust and Little Lady Locks.

Teenage Cancer Trust supports young people with cancer, helping them receive specialist care and support during treatment.

Little Lady Locks provides wigs and hair-loss support for children and young people, helping them feel more like themselves during an incredibly difficult time.

On Saturday 5 September, I am taking on a 100km ultra marathon to raise awareness and funds for these two incredible charities.

I am running 100km for Ida.
For every young person facing cancer.
And for the charities that help families through the unimaginable.

Every donation, every share, and every message of support will make a difference. The money raised will be split equally between Teenage Cancer Trust and Little Lady Locks, helping them continue their vital work for children, young people and families affected by cancer.
