The 24-Hour Open House — 24 hours, 48 sessions, no sleep, all for Breast Cancer Now and Andy's Man Club

On 3rd September 2026, I'm going to do something that is either very brave or very stupid. Possibly both.

I'm hosting a 24-hour live charity broadcast called The 24-Hour Open House. It starts at 9am on Thursday 3rd September and finishes at 9am on Friday 4th September. That's one host (me), lots of brilliant guests across 48 thirty-minute slots, and absolutely no sleep. All of it raising money for two charities that mean an enormous amount to me and to the industry I work in.


I'm Toby Martin, and I coach UK estate agents for a living - it's my world. And this broadcast is for the people in that world - the agents, the business owners, the team leaders - and for two causes that couldn't be more relevant to them.


BREAST CANCER NOW
This charity is close to the heart of the entire UK property community. I chose Breast Cancer Now in memory of Sarah Edmundson, an industry trailblazer who lost her life to breast cancer. Every year, I am deeply moved by the memories of Sarah that are shared at the Women in Estate Agency Conference - it was at this year's conference that I decided to support the cause.

Breast Cancer Now funds world-class research and provides life-changing support to people affected by breast cancer. Every donation helps them get closer to ensuring that everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives - and lives well.


ANDY'S MAN CLUB
Estate agency has a silent mental health problem. It's target-driven, rejection-heavy, and emotionally exposed work - and the culture has traditionally treated vulnerability as weakness. This is especially prevalent in men, something that The Boys Club initiative is working hard to address within the industry.

Andy's Man Club runs free peer-support groups for men every Monday night across the UK, built on a beautifully simple idea: it's okay to talk. If this broadcast helps even one person find their nearest Monday-night group, it will have been worth staying awake for.
