8 Years Old, 2 Wheels, and 1 Massive Mission!
16704
At just 8 years old, Winnie has decided to take on a breathtaking challenge to raise vital funds for the incredible team at Calder Valley Search and Rescue (CVSRT).Winnie is hopping on her bike to cycle from Mytholmroyd to Manchester—and back again (approx 60 miles)! All in a single day- 12th July!
🛑 Why this is a HUGE deal:
-The Distance: This is a grueling, long-distance route that would challenge most adults.
-The Experience: Winnie has never cycled anything close to this distance before!
-The Determination: She is fueled entirely by pure grit, a bit of pedal power, and a massive heart.
🔍 Who are Calder Valley Search and Rescue?
When the worst happens in our beautiful but rugged landscape, these are the heroes who answer the call. CVSRT is a team of highly trained volunteers who operate 24/7, 365 days a year. They provide essential life-saving rescue services across the valley, including:
-Locating lost and injured people in remote, wild moorlands and woodlands.
-Providing emergency medical care in places where normal ambulances can't reach.
-Supporting the community during crises, like severe flash flooding.
Did you know? CVSRT relies solely on donations from the public to keep running. They receive no direct government funding. Every bandage, vehicle, and piece of life-saving tech is paid for by people like you.
Winnie wants to GIVE, GIVE, GIVE... but she needs your help!
Winnie knows how lucky we are to have these volunteers watching over us, and she is determined to raise as much money as possible to keep them operational. She is putting in the sweat and the pedal strokes—all she asks from you is a little bit of backing.
Every single pound will help spur Winnie on up those Pennine hills and keep CVSRT saving lives.
Please donate whatever you can to support our little superstar on her mega-ride!
