In Celebration of Sheila Darby

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beautiful Mum.
She was the heart of our family, always putting others before herself and filling every room with warmth, comfort, and love. She taught us the importance of kindness, resilience, and finding joy in the little things. She was the best Nanny our children could have wished for, and she will leave the biggest hole in all of our lives.
Although saying goodbye is one of the hardest things we have ever had to do, we are so grateful for every memory, every laugh, every hug, and every moment we shared.
We kindly ask that there be no flowers at the church. Instead, we have chosen three charities that were very close to Mum’s heart.
Mum sadly passed away following a tragic accident at her home. She was airlifted to King’s College Hospital by an incredible HEMS team who worked tirelessly to help her, so we would love to give something back to them.
As many of you know, Mum bravely battled cancer twice. Throughout those difficult times, the Macmillan team were invaluable to all of us — offering support, guidance, and always being there at the end of the phone whenever we needed advice or reassurance. They were also an incredible support to our family when Mum’s dad passed away from cancer.
The final charity, Last Chance Animal Rescue, is where Mum found her beloved dog Bertie as a puppy 13 years ago — a companion who brought her so much love and happiness.
Thank you all for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
