Bean's Big Walk

I have noted that in the past couple of years, as my fitness has declined, my brain's desire to put my body through ridiculous challenges has increased. And sometime late last year I think I got ever so slightly carried away. 🤯

Throughout my adult life I've been affected by anxiety, so I like to challenge myself. To see how far I can push my brain, how resilient can I be.
So I deliberated over it for about 5 minutes, with hindsight, not long enough and I signed up to in the Rat Race castle to castle 100 mile ultramarathon. It's from Edinburgh to Glamis castle and you have 48 hours to finish. In case you missed it., that's FORTY-EIGHT HOURS!!!.
And I immediately regretted my decision but then I remembered what I aim to achieve. I'm fundraising for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland and the Bone Cancer Research Trust. These charities have supported some of the bravest people that I know. People who I have been truly blessed to have in my life. My beautiful sister, Alison Campbell-Smyth, who has signed up to be my podiatry support team, my amazing dad Robin Campbell, who I believe shall be providing motivational speeches from the roadside and my incredible friend Jenni 'North' Bellamy, who I'm not expecting to trek to Scotland, but spreads optimism and gratitude like glitter everywhere she goes including via text.

So once again I'll be asking you wonderful people to sponsor me. I am going to need a MAHOOSIVE amount of support to get me to the finishing line on this one!!!!
So If you can donate, even a tiny amount , please do. To help support some of the bravest people that we are lucky enough to have in our lives. 🥰
