Around Oxfordshire in 8 Hours

The Challenge: In homage to Mercedes-AMG's "Around the World in 8 Days" challenge that the YASA-powered Concept AMG GTXX completed last year, on 19th June YASA and our friends from Bicester Motion & Overbury are attempting a challenge to run a relay race completing the 180km distance of Oxfordshire's circumference in under 8 hours! Why We Are Running: We are raising vital funds for causes close to our hearts. - Cancer Research UK: In the race to beat cancer, every second counts. We’re running to support the scientists and clinicians working tirelessly to find a cure and provide better outcomes for those affected by this disease. - StarterMotor: Based right here in Oxfordshire, StarterMotor is dedicated to getting the next generation into the world of classic and high-performance cars. As engineers, we know how important it is to spark that passion early, ensuring the future of our industry is bright, diverse, and skilled. Where We Are Running We will be running the 180km around the Bicester Motion airfield, just in front of our new office. How You Can Help The AMG GTXX proved that with the right motor, you can go anywhere. We’re hoping that with the right support, we can reach our fundraising goal of £1000. Whether it’s a donation of £8 (to match our 8-hour goal) or a larger contribution, every penny goes directly to our chosen charities - fuelling cancer research and empowering the engineers of tomorrow.
