Boxing is Love Ghana 2026

Help us deliver 1 full year of Nutrition, Literacy and Numeracy programmes and refurbish 4 boxing gyms for 500+ young people in Accra, Ghana.

2.4 million children under five in Ghana live in Child Food Poverty while millions are left disengaged from education due to poor literacy and numeracy skills.


How this is relevant to boxing?

Boxing gyms are some of the only trusted community spaces young people have access to, while boxers themselves are such role models within the community whom young people look up to.

Therefore, we are using the sport as a gateway to deliver the health and nutrition knowledge that can change lives.

Working directly in partnership with Wisdom Boxing Gym, home of the Ghana National Boxing Team.

In phase one of our operations back in December 25, we spent £6,000 in replacing the roof and walls for young people and delivered nutrition programmes to 10+ gyms locally.

In phase 2 of our operations (currently updating on instagram @boxingislove_org), we donated an entire new ring, ran programmes in nutrition, literacy, numeracy, recovery and injury prevention on the ground with 300+ young people and coaches while providing 300+ training kits.

We need your help to take our work to the next level and build genuinely sustainable programmes to support the young people here in phase III of our work.

The Goal

We are raising £10,000 to fund a full year of weekly literacy, numeracy and nutrition programmes for 500+ young people.

This will also allow us to help further refurbish the gym by replacing the flooring which is currently uneven and hazardous.

We will also provide more essential training equipment for all the boxers we work with, to ensure that they can participate in training safely.
