CYCLING FOR CHARITY
This summer, our Senior Associate Adam Freestone will take on the Vätternrundan 315km — one of the world’s most demanding long-distance cycling events.
Encircling Lake Vättern in Sweden, the route spans 315 kilometres in a single continuous effort. Completed over 12–18 hours, it is a true test of endurance, focus, and quiet resilience - where progress is measured kilometre by kilometre.
Beyond the personal challenge, Adam is using this moment to support organisations delivering meaningful and lasting impact.
“The scale of the ride is a real challenge, but having a clear purpose behind it makes every kilometre more meaningful. Supporting organisations like Blackfriars Settlement and the British Dyslexia Association gives the effort a wider impact beyond the ride itself.” – Adam Freestone, Senior Associate, Sybarite
SUPPORTING MEANINGFUL CHANGE
We are raising funds for two organisations whose work strengthens communities and expands opportunity:
Blackfriars Settlement
Blackfriars Settlement is a charity that has been part of Southwark’s community for 140 years. It's a place where people walk in carrying loneliness, fear, exhaustion and walk out with connection, confidence and a sense of belonging.
As a recent addition to the Better Bankside community, we are honoured to support Blackfriars Settlement’s vital work delivering community programmes and essential services across South London.
“Blackfriars Settlement has always been more than a building. It is a living story of people coming together.”

British Dyslexia Association
Dyslexia is widely represented across architecture and design, including within our own team. We are proud to support the BDA in advancing understanding, advocacy, and practical support for individuals with dyslexia across the UK.
We too share BDA’s vision of “a world where people with dyslexia can flourish.”

A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
Adam is supported in this effort by Sybarite (https://sybarite.com/) and Fagerhult Lighting (https://www.fagerhult.com/en-GB/), reflecting a shared commitment to purpose-led action beyond our day-to-day work.
All funds raised will be shared equally between both charities.
HOW TO SUPPORT
If you are able to contribute, your support will directly benefit both charities and extend the reach of this challenge.
Every donation, of any size, is sincerely appreciated.
