Paolo Dona 380km Charity Cycle Ride - King Alfreds Way

Last year, I lost a dear friend and colleague, Keith Freeman. He cared deeply about supporting people experiencing homelessness, and that’s something that has stayed with me.

I’m very fortunate in my life. Through my work, I get to travel, meet incredible people, and experience opportunities that many others simply don’t have. Taking part in this challenge feels like a small way of giving something back to those who are less fortunate.

In June, I’ll be taking on the King Alfred’s Way — a 350km circular gravel ride starting and finishing in Winchester, where Keith lived. It’s a tough route, with around 5,000 metres of climbing and mostly off-road terrain, but it feels like a meaningful way to honour his memory.

I’ve decided to combine my passion for cycling with raising funds for Focus Ireland and Crisis, two charities doing vital work to support people facing homelessness — a cause that meant a lot to Keith.

If you’re able to support, I’d really appreciate it. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference. I’ll also be sharing updates along the way as I take on this challenge.

Thank you for your support.
