Lace Up Against Neuroblastoma!
14173
This summer, a group of school parents are swapping schools run for real runs, in support of an incredibly brave young student in our community.
Madeleine is a beautiful and brilliant little girl – sassy, clever, cheeky and hilarious. She had only just started her Reception year when she was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. Since then, life for Madeleine and her family has been turned completely upside down.
At just four years old, she has endured more than most do in a lifetime. She has undergone major surgery, intensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, and will soon begin immunotherapy – facing it all with extraordinary strength and resilience.
Madeleine is hugely missed by her friends at school, and every parent’s heart aches for her family and everything they are going through. We want to show our love and support by raising as much can.
With her family’s blessing, we’ll be taking on 🏃♀️ Run Dorney Lake 🏃♀️ on 26th July. Once an Olympic venue in 2012, it will now host our 5k, 10k and Half Marathon races – all to raise money for two incredible charities supporting children with cancer:
🧬 Neuroblastoma UK | neuroblastoma.org.uk
Funding vital research into new treatments and cures, the charity has contributed nearly £10 million towards neuroblastoma research since 1982.
😴 Real Eazy | realeazy.uk
Part of Betsi at The Marsden, Real Eazy creates adaptive clothing for patients, including pyjamas designed to keep children comfortable during treatment.
Both charities provide essential support – from pioneering research to everyday practical help for children and their families. All donations will be split equally between them.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a real difference. And if you’re able to share this page, we would be so grateful 💛
