Celebrating 80 years of our family supporting your family

In 2026, Forsey and Son marks 80 years of serving local families across Somerset. To celebrate this milestone - and to raise money for two brilliant local causes - our team is taking on Cycle & Stroll: a sponsored journey linking all of our branches over three days.

Our work is all about supporting people through life’s journeys. This summer, we’re setting off on a journey of our own - cycling one leg and walking the next two, travelling from Doulting to Somerton, on to Butleigh, and finishing in Glastonbury.

The Route (3 days / 3 stages)

Stage 1 – Cycle (18 miles)
Thursday 30 July 2026
Ashdene, Doulting → Pound Pool, Somerton

Stage 2 – Walk (5 miles)
Friday 31 July 2026
Pound Pool, Somerton → 28 High Street, Butleigh

Stage 3 – Walk (8 miles)
Saturday 1 August 2026
28 High Street, Butleigh → Willowfields, Glastonbury
(ending with a final stretch into Glastonbury via the High Street)

We’ve chosen Dorothy House Hospice Care and Children’s Hospice South West because their work supports local families at some of the most difficult times in life. Both charities provide compassionate care, comfort and practical support - and we’re proud to fundraise for services that make such a meaningful difference across our community.
