JTM Service - Lyke Wake Walk - 40 Mile Overnight Trek 2026

At JTM Service, supporting our community and important causes is something we’re incredibly proud of. Each year the team identifies charities to support through fundraising and team challenges, each year we invite our team to help decide where our efforts should go.
Last year we supported four charities, combining a national organisation with three smaller ones. This worked really well, allowing us to make a meaningful impact both across the UK and within our local community. Because of that success, we’ve decided to follow the same approach again for 2026.
This year, JTM Service is proud to support Parkinson’s UK and Newark Women’s Aid.
Parkinson’s UK is the leading charity in the UK dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s disease. This cause is especially close to our hearts, as it was suggested by Sharron following her mum’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s. Supporting the charity’s work in funding research, providing vital support services, and raising awareness means a great deal to our team.
Alongside this, we will also be supporting Newark Women’s Aid, a smaller charity that provides essential help and support for people experiencing domestic violence. This charity was suggested by Nicky and is particularly meaningful to us as they are also a customer of JTM Service. As a local organisation, our support can make a real and direct difference to the individuals and families they help every day.
To kick off our fundraising efforts, Sharron, Nicky, Ben, Sam, Andy, Josh, Paul and Matt will be taking on the 40 mile Lyke Wake Walk across the North York Moors this upcoming August, along with Guy from GLD Joinery (Leanne’s husband) and Jemma, a friend of Sharron, who will also be joining the challenge. Starting at 10pm and walking through the night, it’s a tough endurance challenge that will test both stamina and determination, but it’s one we’re proud to take on for two incredible causes.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our fundraising page. Together we can really make a difference.
Team JTM Service.
