JUST A FEW 'MOORE' MILES .....AND WORTH EVERY STEP

JUST A FEW 'MOORE' MILES .....AND WORTH EVERY STEP

Emma Moore

In 2022 I completed my biggest running challenge ever - 100miles! If you had asked me 5 years ago I would have laughed at you for 26.2 but now in conversation the words 'only 30' pass my lips! .... but then I do say 'just a sprint...and 'just burpees' a lot too!!

As with most people, when we finish a massive feat like this - we are left with a gap! The opportunity to rest and replenish and maybe celebrate the work we have done is well deserved and enjoyed but we wonder....what next??

In 2024 I will be running over 200 miles in the GB Ultras 'Race across Scotland' event in August. As if this wasn't enough, I have also signed with Ourea events CAPE WRATH Ultra multistage in May 2023 - 8 days running across the Scottish Highlands. I do love Scotland.

To make this challenge even more rewarding than completing this mileage and understanding what my body and mind are capable of, I have decided to run and support 2 fabulous local York charities 'The Island' and 'Lollipop'

https://www.theislandyork.org
The Island supports some of our most disadvantaged, vulnerable and isolated children and young people to realise their potential through positive mentoring relationships and activities.

https://www.lollipopyork.org.uk
Lollipop offers opportunities for children and young people with any degree of deafness from mild to profound and their families to meet and build friendships with others, with whom they share their experiences of deafness.

I hope you will support me, even contact me to have a run with me. I will be arranging a few fundraising events so you can get involved too so watch this space.

I will be blogging some of my training, races and constantly 'pinging' up on your screen for this worthwhile charity and update my pictures on the fundraising page and website. Blogs will be posted on both my website www.wurkoutfitness.com and both my Facebook pages 'Emma Moore' and 'WURKOUT Fitness'

MAYBE YOU WILL ALSO COME AND HAVE A RUN WITH ME ??
