Team Govier - London Marathon

After watching the 2025 London Marathon Brad decided to mark his 60th year by taking on the challenge of London 2026.

I agreed to do the training with him for support and encouragement and decided to enter the ballot too, just on the off chance. With only a 4% chance of success I wasn’t expecting to actually get in!

Fast forward 6 months….Brad got a charity place with Guide Dogs for the Blind and unbelievably I got place through the ballot.

Brad has already raised the funds required to secure his charity place so we are now raising funds together for Macmillan Cancer Support and Mind. Both organisations provide vital support to people and families facing some of life’s toughest moments — whether that’s navigating cancer or struggling with mental health. Their work changes lives every single day.

Knowing we’re raising money for these important causes will help carry us through every cold and wet training run and every tough mile. If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, we would be so grateful for your support.
