Hi, I'm Tom, Dad to 4 beautiful children and Husband to Jody.
The Journey:Our youngest Poppy was born with Downs Syndrome (T21) and 2 incredible charities have supported us through Poppy's life in so many ways from support for Jody and me Pre birth to support in Birmingham Children's Hospital for Poppy's life saving operation (Day 2). To support during her early years with communication and learning. These charities are:
Downs Syndrome UK (PADS) Downs Syndrome Association.
This year to support both charities I will be continuing to complete a number of running challenges.!!
Firstly on March 21st 2026 I will be joining the team from RunAcrossUK and Downs Syndrome Association to relay run from Lands End to John O'Groats. My section of this incredible relay will be from Congleton Train Station to Stafford Train Station covering 29 miles and passing through Stoke Train Station.
The following day with heavy legs I will be running the Ironbridge 1/2 marathon in Telford. In 2024 I completed this hilly 13 1/2 mile course and loved it!
Then onto London Landmarks Half Marathon for Down Syndrome UK on 12th April 2026, 13/12 miles through the streets of London taking in the sites of the capitals incredible Landmarks.
Following on from these events will be more 10K races , Half Marathons, Marathons and even an Ultra (or two) thrown in.
