40 Peaks for 40 Grand

Following on from the success of our 5 Peaks Challenge in August 2023, where we raised £42,000 raised for our 4 nominated charities, WaterAid asked us to get involved in their Munro Challenge event which is happening on Saturday, June 6th 2026.

A Munro is over 914.4m

But our EPS Group twist will be extending this to ALL peaks across the UK and Ireland above 915m!

Over 3 days, team members from our Group companies - EPS, EPS UK, DPS, IPP, Pedrollo Distribution, Ferrier Pumps, Craig's and Flowmech will challenge themselves to climb 44 munros.

Led by Gareth Wilson, the Irish leg will cover 13 monros over 3 days.

It all kicks off on Friday, June 5th as the team climbs Lugnaquilla and Galtymore, Saturday, June 5th will see them take on Carrauntoohil and the MacGillycuddy Reeks, while Sunday, June 7th will see them face Mount Brandon.

The Scottish leg, led by Ferrier Pumps' David McIntosh, will see Team 1 climb Meall Ghaordaidh and Ben Callum, Team 2 will tackle Ben Lawers and Meall Corranaich; Team 3 take on Lochnagar and Carn A’Choire Bhoideach, while Team 4 will face the Glenshee 9 - the Cairnwell, Carn Aosda, Carn a’ Gheòidh, Carn an Tuirc, Glas Maol, Creag Leacach, Cairn of Claise, Tom Buidhe and Tolmount.

The English and Welsh climbs will be led by Pedrollo Distibution's Kevin Davey and Flowmech's Henry Piggin.

Team 1 will face the Lake District North over three stages - S1 - Scafell Pike, Scafell, Ill Crag & Broad Crag, S2 - Helvellyn and S3 - Skiddaw. Team 2 will undertake the Carneddau Traverse - Carnedd Llewelyn, Carnedd Dafydd, Yr Elen, Pen yr Ole Wen, Foel-grach, Garnedd Uchaf and Foel-fras, while Team 3 will face the Snowdon Massif - Snowdon, Garnedd Ugain and Crib Goch.

No mean feat - but we smashed the 5 Peaks in 48 hours challenge - what's another 39 peaks to add to the list?!
