Guy Dresser is taking part in the 2027 "Worlds Toughest Row - Atlantic."
The 3,000 mile / 5,000 km journey will take him - solo and unsupported - from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua. Guy successfully rowed the Atlantic in a trio in 2019, this time he is doing it alone.
He is raising funds for DKMS, the international charity dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders, which runs the global stem cell and bone marrow register.
DKMS signs people up to the stem cell register, provides second chances at life for those in need of a transplant, and raises funds to cover donor registration costs.
It costs about £40 / 40 euros / USD 40 to send out a swab kit to a potential donor, process it on return and to sign the person up to the stem cell register.
The more people who register as blood stem cell donors, the better the chance for someone in need of a blood stem cell transplant.
Stem cell donors save lives. Imagine if you could save someone's life!
Guy's aim is to raise as much as possible for DKMS. Thank you for any donation you are able to make.
