Squirrel Studios: the Bristol-based music studio with a social purpose!

Squirrel Studios is a recording studio based in Bristol, built around a simple idea: using music to bring people together and create opportunities for musical expression across all walks of life.

Alongside producing the **Squirrel Island Discs** podcast, we record, mix and produce music for local artists, bands and community projects. Rather than operating as a traditional commercial studio, income from these sessions helps support our charitable fundraising, allowing creativity to have a wider impact beyond the studio walls. We've been fortunate to work on everything from debut recordings by local artists to releasing an England 2026 World Cup song!


Our podcast, **Squirrel Island Discs**, invites guests to tell the story of their lives through the music that has accompanied them. Each episode explores the songs that have shaped a person's journey, leading to conversations about family, identity, triumphs, setbacks and the moments that matter most.


This fundraising supports the charity Open Up Music, which enables young disabled musicians to learn, perform and collaborate through accessible music-making.
