Run for Mum

In 2026, Johnny and Martyn will be running a total of 1200 miles (600 each) to raise money for 5 different charities

Our mam has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer and will be going through 6 weeks of chemotherapy, 5 weeks of radiotherapy and brachytherapy.

To show our support and turn something difficult into something positive, We decided to run the same distance she travels to receive her treatment- One mile for every mile of her journey.

We aren't the fittest boys and are not runners by any means so this won’t be easy, but we are thran just like our mam! So we will do it!

Cancer has affected our family and friends over the years, including our Dad and Granda who beat it, sadly cancer took our Uncle Arthur , friends and work friends who have beaten it, going through it and some have sadly died from it.

The 5 charities we have chosen to give 20% each to are:
• Friends of the Oaks
• Friends of Anchor
• Clan cancer
• The Eve Appeal (Gynaecological cancer research)
• Prostate cancer
